Swag Bag Contest 2024

Swag Bags were initially started as a way to honor a donation request and grew into something bigger! We wanted to focus on important groups and themes to draw attention to each of them. Each Swag Bag is completely different from the next and no two are alike. We have judges that have never been involved in the cattle industry, but enjoy helping out youth organizations such as 4-H and FFA.

Swag Bags offer two bags for each division: Back drop of you and your project at a jackpot or county fair, 4-H, FFA, and Pee-Wee members through a photo contest. If you are new to showing cattle, regardless of what year you are in 4-H, FFA or open youth, there is an essay contest on "Why I want to show cattle".

Schedule 

• August 2nd - Any show you went to with the backdrop of the show with you and your project

• August 16 - 4-H Members

• August 30 - FFA Members

• September 13 - Pee-Wee Members

• September 27 - First year or will have a project next year essay contest

• Watch for the post specifically for your group and drop a photo. Contests ends at noon PST!

• Essay submissions are taken at any time

Essay Contest

• Email your essay to mandmshorthornsmandmshorthorns2019@gmail.com. Explain why you choose a beef project (steer or heifer or both). You can be Pee-Wee,  4-H, FFA or open youth member. Parents can help the Pee-Wee's type and submit to our email.
